It seems that finally all the rumors about LG G3 got to life. The most awaited smartphone of the year LG G3 is finally official. The official launch of LG G3 took place tonight at a London event and LG finally confirmed the official release of LG G3. The features and specifications of the LG’s new flagship Android smartphone LG G3 seems to be really impressive. Actually LG G2 released in August 2013 had some impressive specs itself. We will discuss about them in a while, because first of all let’s talk about the release date of LG G3.
LG G3 Release Date and Price
LG stated that G3 will launch in Korea next week and will hit entire UK Europe in June. We’re still waiting to know about the release date of LG G3 on other markets. We’re also still waiting on price, but it’s expected to retail for $950, which places it on par with other recent flagship smartphones.
LG G3 Specifications and Features
The features and specifications of LG G3 are really impressive. Let’s start with the screen and end with the design.
LG confirmed that LG G3 has a 5.5 inch Quad-HD screen. It’s called as Quad-HD because, it’s four times the HD, in which the amount pixels is 720p. The screen will be 5.5in in size using an AH-IPS LCD panel and a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and that means a pixel density of 534ppi.
LG G3 includes a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chip with Adreno 330 graphics. Built with 2GB of RAM in the 16GB model and 3GB of RAM in the 32GB model and an Octa Core processor (consists of four 2.2GHz Cortex-A15 cores and another four 1.7GHz Cortex-A7 cores).
As expected already, LG G3 ships with Android 4.4.2 Kitkat and it also includes Knock code feature as in other LG smartphones, which helps us to unlock the phone with a few taps or knocks on the screen.
The camera is a 13Mp sensor (same as G2) with an improved OIS+ (optical image stabilization) technology, Laser Auto focus and ability to shoot 4K video.
The device comes with an inbuilt 16GB or 32GB of storage. It also offers a microSD slot upto 128GB along side a 3000 mAh removable battery.
When it comes to connectivity LG G3 is the best of all. With Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, USB 2.0, Infrared, Wireless Charging connectivity features no other brand in the market could possibly compete with it.
The design of LG G3 is much like the G2. It retains the rear buttons and both G2 & G3 are made of plastic., but G3 is disguised as metal, although it’s plastic. It is really large in size with the dimensions of 146.3 x 74.6 x 8.9mm.
