Hello friends in this post i’m going to teach you to Create Desktop and Start Screen shortcuts to Shutdown, Restart, Sleep, Hibernate your Windows PC.

So after completely following this post and implementing the methoda here, we can shutdown, restart, sleep, hibernate your system with a simple mouse click.

Note that this method works on almost every Windows O.S

Just follow the steps one by one or Just watch the Video Below.

Step 1: Right click on your desktop and select “New Shortcut” as shown in the image below.

Step 2:  In the new Window, enter the code required for the task you wish. See below for codes.

For Shutdown use this code  :   shutdown.exe -s -t 0

For Sleep          :   rundll32.exe PowrProf.dll,SetSuspendState 0,1,0

For Restart      :   shutdown.exe -r -t 0

For Hibernate:   rundll32.exe PowrProf.dll,SetSuspendState

Note : The last symbol in the above codes is Zero, not Alphabet ‘O’

Step 3: The Icon for new Shortcut looks boring. So if you want to change it, right click on the new icon and select properties. In the properties window select “Change icon” and choose your icon and finish.

Step 4: Now, we have completed two tasks. Created the Shortcut and Changed it’s icon. But you can’t see this shortcut in the Start Screen. So Just right click the icon again and select “PIN TO START.”   That’s it now you can see your new shortcut in the Start screen also. Save your time and be smart.
